Foothills Park & Recreation District has been awarded the 2020 Columbine Award for Park Renovation Design through Colorado Parks and Recreation Association. The Award was presented for the new inclusive destination playground at Clement Park. The playground character was established to help highlight the art, music and performance events that occur at Grant Amphitheater as well as integrating the playground space into the existing park design. The playground is designed for children of all abilities to play alongside their peers. The new inclusive destination playground was a great opportunity to incorporate design that will encourage child development of important physical and social skills.
