Hot water has been restored to showers and sinks! A temporary on-demand hot water delivery system is on site and running at the Ridge. We appreciate your patience during this outage.

Foothills Park & Recreation District planned to replace the domestic hot water heaters at the Ridge Recreation Center as part of the 2025 capital improvements plan. Unfortunately, the heaters beat us to the punch and experienced a catastrophic failure.

We worked with an engineering firm to engineer and source the temporary system currently in use. An engineered, custom-ordered and manufactured replacement system is required in order to meet the unique needs of the facility in the long term. That work is concurrently underway. In the meantime, we will continue to provide hot water through the temporary system.

Thank you for your patience with this process. Look for updates when the new permanent system is installed.

As a reminder, this issue does not affect the water temperature of any of the three indoor swimming pools at Ridge Recreation Center.

      • During modified hours, Ridge Pools close 30 minutes prior to facility closing.

Drop-in Activities

  • Cardio/Weight Room, Racquetball and Track follow facility’s hours of operation
    • Racquetball – call facility to reserve a court.
      • Reservations for racquetball can be made 3 days in advance for District Residents, 2 days for Non-District.
      • Walk-ins for racquetball are welcome, based on space availability.

Facility Age Requirements

  • General Facility Use:  Youth ages 9 & under must be accompanied by an adult 18 or older.

  • Swimming Pools:
    • Youth ages 5 & under must be accompanied into the water by a paying adult 18 or older.
    • Youth ages 6-8 must be accompanied by a paying attendee age 12 or older.

Cardio/Weight Room Policy – for Youth (ages 9-15)

Youth ages 9-15 can get certified to use our cardio weight rooms in 3 simple steps!

  1. Pass the Youth Cardio/Weight Room Test (can be taken at any front desk for free)
  2. Submit a signed authorization waiver (completed by parent/guardian)
  3. Enjoy use of our facilities

Upon completion of above steps, the following rules apply:

  • Ages 9-12: may use the Cardio/Weight Rooms WHILE UNDER SUPERVISION OF AN ADULT (15 yrs. +)
  • Ages 13-15: may use the Cardio/Weight Rooms independently

Please note: Youth under age 9 are NOT permitted in cardio/weight room area.
