2025 Shelter reservations open online on January 2, 2025 at 9 a.m.
Shelter rentals fill fast – especially for graduations, walks and large events. It is suggested you book reservations as early as possible.

- 2 shelters – $415 / $430 / $460
- 3+ shelters – $390 each
- Additional Person Charge – $1/person (for rentals over 100 people per shelter)

Shelter rental dates and hours
• Splash Park opens May 25, 2024
• Weekday rentals will end August 9, 2024
• Weekend rentals will end September 22, 2024
Prices per shelter: Foothills District resident / Jefferson County resident / Non-County resident
Full Day rentals
• Monday-Friday – $135 / $145 / $160
• Saturday-Sunday – $160 / $170 / $185 (Frog shelter ONLY)
Half Day rentals (Duck, Frog, Otter and Turtle shelters)
• Saturday-Sunday – $90 / $100 / $120
• Choose time of 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. OR 3-9 p.m.
• Shelter cleaning will occur from 1-3 p.m. Friday-Sunday
Shelter Dimensions
• Shelter canopy 20’x 20’
• Seating and occupancy: 25 people maximum
• Tables – three 8 foot tables
• No grills or alcohol are allowed in the Splash Park
Special Event Permits
Foothills Park & Recreation District considers an event larger than 800 people to be classified as a special event. Special events are often ticketed and/or fenced off events that require a large area. A special event may include but is not limited to walks, runs, festivals, concerts or private fundraisers.

Grant Family Amphitheater Rentals
Located in Clement Park – 5,000 maximum capacity
Prices: 2 hour minimum
- Foothills District resident: $155.00/hour
- Jefferson County resident: $170.00/hour
- Non-County resident: $190.00/hour
- Alcohol Permit – $25
Private Outdoor Fee-based Activities
It is the policy of Foothills Park & Recreation District to permit designated park space to citizens and/or organizations for certain private outdoor fee-based activities and services (as long as the service does not conflict with a Foothills Park & Recreation District program). A private fee-based activity can be defined as a clinic, camp, class, guided activity, and/or programs offered and organized by an outside agency, where a fee is collected for the services provided.
