Our Active Adult Programs offer a variety of opportunities for everyone! Join us and experience what a balanced blend of mental, social and physical wellness is all about!

Excursions

Experience interesting locations in Colorado without having to drive! Registration price always includes transportation. Prices vary based on activity.

  • Saturday, February 15: Denver Brass, “Fat Tuesday Festa”
  • Tuesday, February 18: Babe’s Tea Room
  • Sunday, March 9: Lone Tree Arts Center Concert, “A St. Patrick’s Day Celebration with Altan”
  • Tuesday, April 1: Snow Skiing at Echo Mountain (Must be 50+ years old!)
  • Friday, April 11: Lone Tree Arts Center, “Baskerville, A Sherlock Holmes Mystery”
  • Wednesday, April 23: WWII Aviation Museum and Lunch at The Airplane Restaurant
  • Wednesday, May 14: Brunch and Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Extended Travel Coming Soon!

Travel with a group of 55+ year old travelers from Foothills Active Adults Program to various destinations in 2025. Whether you’re a party of one or many, these trips are tailored for group travel geared specifically for older adults (55+).

Explore a variety of local restaurants. Registration price includes transportation only, cost of lunch is on your own.

Classes

Learn to Play Mahjongg, two-day classes:

  • Tuesday, Friday, May 27 and May 30

Technology 411 Classes, taught by Jessica Jones, Technology Tutor.  Classes can be taken one at a time, or register for 4 or more classes and receive a 20% discount on the classes you are registered for. The same information is taught in Session 1 and Session 2.

Powerful Tools for Caregivers, hosted by Foothills Park & Recreation District’s Active Adult Program and taught by the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG), Area on Aging. Six-week series of FREE classes for those who are eligible. Respite care may be available. Email Terri with questions.

Visiting Nurses Association’s Foot Clinic

  • There is no registration for this clinic. You MUST call 303-698-6496 to sign up.
  • Price is $55 or insurance.
  • Held the first Tuesday of each month from 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Peak Community & Wellness Center.

Clubs

Monthly participation price, per club of $5 (non-district $7), to view the seasonal date span for each club and to register online, use the button below.

  • Book Club, meets once monthly: third Thursday of each month, 1-3 p.m.
  • Bridge, Party Bridge played: Tuesdays, 12-3 p.m.
  • NEW – Bunco: Wednesdays, 1-4 p.m. beginning February 12, 2025
  • Hand, Knee & Foot Card Game: Tuesdays, 1-4 p.m.
  • Helpful Hands Knitting & Crochet: Fridays, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
  • Mahjongg: Wednesdays 1-4 p.m.
